Rous County Council Staffroom Gets an Acoustic Ceiling Upgrade

Modern staffroom with acoustic ceiling panel grid installation

At the Rous County Council staffroom in Lismore, improving acoustic performance was key to ensuring the space remained comfortable and functional for daily use. A series of 25mm Autex Quietspace® acoustic panels were installed in a clean grid layout on the ceiling, creating a subtle architectural feature while significantly improving sound absorption.

The installation reduces echo and reverberation in the large, open-plan staffroom, improving speech clarity and overall acoustic comfort for staff throughout the day.

The project is a great example of how a well-designed acoustic ceiling treatment can enhance both the look and performance of a shared space.
